it was another big episode of The Bachelorette last night.
The episode started with Robert securing a single date where Ali was keen to see if the dapper gentleman liked things a bit more adventurous so they set off to Cockatoo Island in Sydney Harbour on a speed boat.
Ali and Robert identified their past mistakes when it came to relationships, painting the words ‘falling too fast’, ‘naïve’, ‘communication’ and ‘manipulated’ on giant banners. The pair then rode a buggy through the banners metaphorically aiming to break old habits.
Later the pair enjoyed a tomato and apricot relish that Ali made with the sauce Robert first gifted her with which meant a lot to him. He explained that he is looking for someone that is caring, loving and who can communicate openly and Ali wholeheartedly agreed.
The group date saw our bachelors transformed into Gladiators for the first ever Gladiator Games with Ivan, Robert and Bill allocated as team captains.
Surprisingly Bill chose Charlie to be on his team which led to a power struggle when Charlie felt he would be a better leader.
The final challenge saw the gladiators compete in a tug of war and while Ivan’s team worked together, Bill’s team seemed to be competing more with themselves. The tension between Charlie and Bill was obvious to all.
Ivan was chosen as the ultimate Gladiator (and naturally celebrated with a victory dance) winning extra time with Ali. It was here where he revealed a rather unconventional dream to star in the Step Up movie franchise and have five kids in the next five years. While Ivan thought the date was going well, Ali disagreed and didn’t see any connection, feeling they were on very different pages.
At the cocktail party the tension between Bill and Charlie continued and when Bill messed with the boys’ plans to entertain Ali, they were not happy. While Ivan surprised the woman of the hour with some more of his dance moves, Charlie confronted Bill who claimed he wasn’t aware of the boys plan for the evening.
At the rose ceremony Charlie was hopeful that it would be Bill not receiving a rose but in the end it was Wes and Damien’s final night in the mansion.
