The Bachelor farewells a controversial contestant

it’s been building for weeks and now  one of The Bachelor’s most interesting contestants has left the mansion .

Last night, in a shock elimination, The Bachelor’s Blake Garvey sent home Canadian Bachelorette Amber, 26, during an emotion-charged cocktail party. Blake decided to deliver the news to Amber privately and explain his decision, rather than subject her to another rose ceremony.

With no time to say goodbye to her housemates, Amber walked away from Blake and the mansion for the final time leaving the remaining girls unaware of the drama that had unfolded.

Blake told Amber: “I think that you are an incredible woman: you’re strong, funny and intelligent. I’ve looked to see if that connection’s there but at this point in time, I’m sorry, but I don’t think it is. “I want to be completely fair to you. I don’t want to put you through another rose ceremony. I think you deserve more.”

Having not received a single date during her entire time in the house, Amber was confused and felt she had not had a fair opportunity to make a connection with Blake.

After departing in the limousine for the final time Amber said: “I am completely disappointed in the way that things turned out. I just feel like I have never gotten a chance to show him who I am.

“With that being said, all I can do is go home and wait for the guy that’s right for me. I hope that Blake finds exactly what he’s looking for and I hope he finds the girl that makes him complete. I am who I am, I came in here with a smile on my face and laughter in my heart and I’m leaving the same way. This journey for me is over, but my journey keeps on continuing.”

The Bachelor Australia.  airs Wednesday and Thursdays at 7.30pm. On Ten
