Ten and Ricky Ponting team up for backyard cricket game

This summer, Network Ten is getting behind the Ponting Foundation’s Biggest Game Of Cricket (BGOC) fundraiser by broadcasting one lucky viewer’s very own game of backyard cricket.

BGOC is the Ponting Foundation’s major annual fundraising initiative that sees thousands of Australians taking to their own pitch in the backyard, on the beach, in the park or at their local cricket club, to raise money for young people living with cancer.

This January, Network Ten will send a full production crew – complete with commentators, team captains and umpires – to visit one lucky viewer and their own game of backyard cricket, all in the name of charity.

The backyard cricket match will be broadcast on Network Ten during the innings break of the KFC Big Bash League Melbourne Stars vs. Brisbane Heat game on Thursday, 14 January 2016.

Cricket legends and Network Ten commentators Ricky Ponting and Adam Gilchrist will be on hand to call the action, along with a host of Network Ten celebrities.

For your chance to join in the fun and take the opportunity to fundraise for a great cause, visit www.biggestgameofcricket.com.au and register your personal fundraising page. In the My Story section of the page attach a photo of your backyard and tell us why we should come to your house and broadcast your game of backyard cricket.

The winning family will be announced during Network Ten’s KFC Big Bash League coverage in the week leading up to the 14 January game.
