Last night on Dancing With The Stars: All Stars we saw dancing like we’ve never seen before, with spectacular routines taking the scores to new heights. Manu Feildel, Luke Jacobz, Jamie Durie and Ada Nicodemou revisited dances from their previous seasons, while wildcards Renee Bargh and Jessica Gomes recreated a past contestants’ favourite performance.
As we took a trip down memory lane, all six celebrities performed their third dance of the competition, with the season’s second dance-off between the bottom two couples.
Manu Feildel opened episode four with an abundance of energy recreating his infamous salsa from the 2011 grand final. The charismatic performance received a total score of 33, his highest to date, showing the judges that “The Manu” was back.
Next, Renee Bargh pushed through a rib injury and paid homage to her idol, Tina Arena, from series 13, in a powerful tango, nabbing a total score of 35.
Tapping into the emotional connection of rhumba, Luke Jacobz won the night scoring a total of 38, including three 10s, with Helen Richey acknowledging the bold choice of dance took “huge courage”.
Burning up the dancefloor in his all black latex costume, Jamie Durie wowed the judges and audience with his cha cha, scoring 29.
Ada Nicodemou successfully recreated her jive from season three in 2005, scoring 37, with Paul Mercurio repeatedly declaring he “loved it”.
Unfortunately, Jessica Gomes’ rock’n’roll jive didn’t quite land with the judges, scoring just 19, and she found herself in the bottom two with Jamie Durie. While Jamie survived another round, Jessica headed for the exit door.
