Supercars Champ Scott Mclaughlin’s Indycar Debut Live On Kayo this weekend

Newly-crowned three-time Supercars Champion Scott McLaughlin will make his hotly-anticipated debut in the IndyCar series this weekend, with every minute of his maiden race LIVE and on-demand on Kayo.

Straight off the back of claiming his third-consecutive Supercars title, the DJR Team Penske driver has jetted out to the US for his first ever appearance in the IndyCar series at the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg in Florida this weekend.

After a series of successful IndyCar tests earlier in the year, McLaughlin was originally due to make his IndyCar debut in May but was forced to postpone due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Now, the 27-year-old will finally join the grid for the 2020 IndyCar Season Finale at St Petersburg with Team Penske, steering the No. 3 Dallara-Chevrolet.

All practice and qualifying sessions, plus every lap of McLaughlin’s racing debut will be available LIVE and on-demand for Kayo customers, with the first practice beginning at 1.55am AEDT on Sunday.

“This weekend’s race in Florida has been a long time coming, and I can’t believe it’s finally here – I’m like a kid at Christmas!” the Supercars record-breaker said.

“The support from everyone at home has been incredible, and with Kayo showing every moment of the Grand Prix live and on-demand, it’s the best way for everyone to keep up with how I go – it’s how I’ve been watching IndyCar while in Australia.

“I’m so grateful for this opportunity and I’ll be giving it my all this weekend.”

McLaughlin will qualify for the Grand Prix of St Peterburg at 6.05am AEDT on Sunday, before the lights go out for the final race of the IndyCar season at 5.30am AEDT on Monday.
