Stalker locked in for Sundays on Nine

One of the most intriguing show premises in quite a while, Stalker is coming to Nine this weekend.

The gripping psychological thriller centres on the Los Angeles Threat Assessment Unit (TAU). Based on a real-life division of the LAPD, the TAU is an elite unit that handles all stalking and threat cases in the city. They do everything it takes to catch a stalker.

The series which stars Dylan McDermott (Hostages, American Horror Story) and Maggie Q (Nikita) lead the cast in the thrilling chase to catch the criminals whose innocent affection has transformed into fatal attraction. Created by Kevin Williamson (Dawson’s Creek) it is worth checking out.

Detective Jack Larsen (McDermott) is a decorated New York homicide detective with a mysteriously tainted reputation, who has come to LA for a fresh start. There he joins the TAU. And it appears his past behaviour proves to be valuable in his new position.

His boss, Lieutenant Beth Davis (Q), is strong, focused and an expert in the field. Like Larsen, her past is the key to the work she does – her traumatic personal experience as a stalking victim is her driving force.

With the rest of their team – young but eager Detective Ben Caldwell (Victor Rasuk) and deceptively smart Detective Janice Lawrence (Mariana Klaveno) – Larsen and Davis assess the threat level of cases and respond before the stalking and intimidation spirals out of control, all while trying to keep their personal obsessions at bay.

Stalker begins Sunday 9:30 PM on Nine
