Spelling Bee introduces first speller

Australia meet your first speller.

Nine-year-old Tej, affectionately tagged “MC Speller”, is one of more than 50 bright spellers who will soon appear on the compelling new show Great Australian Spelling Bee.. Reciting the alphabet at 18 months, reading at the age of two and interpreting languages by three, Tej’s love of words is infectious. Tej and his fellow spellers, all aged between eight and 13, will compete in a series of word-related games and challenges.

Hosted by Grant Denyer and Chrissie Swan, The Great Australian Spelling Bee is a visual spectacular that requires the spellers to display a combination of speed, skill and smarts to deconstruct words many have never heard of, let alone spelt.
