Explosive US drama 9-1-1 returns for an extraordinary ninth season, premiering in late January.
After saving Los Angeles from hundreds of emergencies over the past eight seasons, the heroes of the 118 Fire Department are facing their biggest challenges yet, as some of their own are in trouble in outer space.
The double episode season premiere kicks off when Eddie Diaz (Ryan Guzman) and Hen Wilson (Aisha Hinds) rescue eccentric billionaire tech mogul Trip Hauser (Mark Consuelos) after he is swallowed by a whale. Grateful and impulsive, Trip invites Hen to join him on a historic space flight and she takes LAPD Field Sergeant Athena Grant (Angela Bassett) along for the ride.
But as Hen and Athena are launched out of this world, disaster strikes. A powerful geomagnetic storm wreaks havoc both in space and back on Earth. When trouble hits beyond the atmosphere, can they call 9-1-1 for help?
Back in Los Angeles, the 118 hit the streets to rescue the public from falling asteroids and space debris.
9-1-1 stars Angela Bassett, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Oliver Stark, Aisha Hinds, Ryan Guzman and Kenneth Choi.
9-1-1 Returns Monday, 26 January. Stream from 6.00pm on 7plus or 8.30pm on Seven
