Tonight, the much-loved music quiz show RocKwiz makes its long-awaited return to our screens.
Queen of the Kwiz Julia Zemiro, and Rock Brain Brian Nankervis have returned to steer the ship and ask four contestants who have been selected for their incredible ‘rock knowledge’ a series of music trivia questions. Human Scoreboard Dugald manages the stage and holds up the scores, while the original RocKwiz OrKestra members Peter ‘Lucky’ Luscombe and Clio Renner are joined by Bill McDonald on bass guitar and Olympia on lead guitar and heavenly harmonies.
Kicking off a new series of episodes are musical guests Jimmy Barnes and up-and-coming soul singer Wilsn each captaining a team. The quickfire questions from Julia allow for heaps of fun for both the contestants and viewers alike.
And of course, one of the big joys of RocKwiz is the musical performances. Wilsn performs her new single ‘Tell Me’ and Jimmy rocks out with ‘Sweet Love On My Mind’. The pair then close the show with a duet of the Temptations’ ‘Shaky Ground.’
Despite the show’s short runtime of 30 minutes, the essence and format of the original RocKwiz seasons is still all here, and viewers new and old will enjoy all that this new series has to offer.
So settle in for a concert in your lounge room every Friday, and get ready to test your own musical knowledge.
