Multi-platinum-selling, ARIA-nominated recording artist Ricki-Lee (Australian Idol, Nova 96.9 Breakfast) and world-renowned Aussie comedian Jim Jefferies (The 1% Club Australia) are teaming up to torment, tease and test an all-new cast of celebrities in the South African jungle when the brand new season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! premieres on Seven and 7plus in 2027.
This evolution of the international reality phenomenon will bring passionate Aussie fans the terrifying trials, hilarious camp drama and heartfelt revelations they know and love, along with fresh twists and series firsts as celebrities compete for the coveted title of King or Queen of the Jungle.
Ricki-Lee said: “I couldn’t be more excited to be heading to Africa for the very first time to host one of the most iconic shows in the world. I’m such a massive fan and it’s a huge honour. And to be doing it alongside the incredible Jim Jefferies makes it even better! For years I’ve watched on from the comfort of my couch and now I get to experience it up close and personal – while standing comfortably off to the side with Jim. Watching our favourite celebrities squirm their way through some absolutely horrific challenges is gonna be a wild ride.”
Jim Jefferies said: “When Seven asked if I’d like to spend weeks in the African jungle watching celebrities eat strange things and embarrass themselves on national television, I couldn’t say yes fast enough. It sounds like my ideal holiday. And who better to go into the wild with than Ricki-Lee. I can’t wait!
Seven’s Director of Content, Unscripted, Majella Hay said: “I’m a Celebrity… is a format built to be talked about, and with Ricki-Lee and Jim Jefferies as hosts, the show will be impossible to ignore. Individually, Ricki-Lee and Jim couldn’t be more different but that’s exactly what makes this pairing so exciting. Together, they’ll bring a fresh, unexpected energy to the jungle that Australians are going to love!”
I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! is created by Lifted Entertainment, part of ITV Studios, which also distributes the format internationally. It is produced by ITV Studios Australia for the Seven Network.
The series will make its debut on Seven and 7plus in 2027.
