Tonight RFDS reaches the half-way point of the season.
Eliza (Emma Hamilton) persuades Taylor (Sofia Nolan) to involve Pete (Stephen Peakcocke) in the difficult decisions she faces regarding her pregnancy. Meanwhile Pete considers telling Eliza how he feels about her, despite his reluctancy to ruin her budding relationship with Ryan (Rick Davies).
On the medical side of things, Pete, Wayne (Rob Collins) and Mira (Ash Ricardo) embark on a flight to a sick baby and are forced to decide between landing on a dangerous air strip or using up critical treatment time to disembark somewhere safer.
Elsewhere Eliza and Matty (Jack Scott) visit Yvette (Sarah Brokensha), a terminally ill patient who has suffered a bad fall and wants to begin the process of voluntary assisted dying. Adding to the high emotions of the case, Eliza is thrown to discover that Yvette’s estranged husband is Owen (Brendan Rock), the driver who caused the catastrophic bus crush. And Matty juggles a chaotic retrieval that has implications in the weeks ahead.
Creator Ian Meadows pens an instalment of RFDS that’s unforgettable and one of the series’ best.
RFDS airs 7:30pm Wednesdays on Seven.
