Prime Video has expanded the cast of its hit YA drama We Were Liars, announcing six new series regulars who will join the upcoming second season. The new additions include Josh Dallas, Costa D’Angelo, Parker Lapaine, Peyton List, Elysia Roorbach, and Madison Wolfe, each stepping into key roles that deepen the Sinclair family mythology and the show’s 1999 flashback storyline.
Season Two continues the adaptation of E. Lockhart’s bestselling novel, diving further into the Sinclair family’s secrets as Cadence returns to Beechwood Island and uncovers the truth about the fateful summer that shaped generations.
Josh Dallas as “Young Harris”
Josh Dallas most recently starred as Ben Stone in the global hit Manifest, which ran for four seasons across NBC and Netflix. He is widely known for his seven‑season turn as Prince Charming on ABC’s Once Upon a Time. His additional credits include NBC’s The Hunting Party, Anthony Hemingway’s Red Tails, Marvel’s Thor, and Disney’s Zootopia and Zootopia 2.
Character: Charming, well‑heeled, and devoted to his daughters, Harris is a loyal husband and a stoic leader within the family’s media empire — though forever in the shadow of his reckless older brother.
Costa D’Angelo as “Pfeff”
Australian actor Costa D’Angelo has quickly become a rising talent, breaking out in Hulu’s Tell Me Lies as a psychology grad student with a dangerous side. He is currently filming a Netflix hockey drama produced by Shawn Levy and appears in Zoe Kazan’s upcoming East of Eden adaptation. His earlier credits include Neighbours, Crazy Fun Park, The Deb (2024), and Shiver (2026).
Character: A soulful, mysterious New England college kid whose arrival on Beechwood Island inevitably disrupts the Sinclair sisters’ lives.
Parker Lapaine as “Young Carrie”
Parker Lapaine recently earned rave reviews on the UK stage in Matthew Dunster’s Red Speedo and appeared in the Season 2 finale of HBO’s House of the Dragon.
Character: Sensitive, quick‑witted, and yearning for love, Carrie is the obedient, Harvard‑bound eldest daughter — until a new boy tempts her toward a different future.
Peyton List as “Young Tipper”
Peyton List’s recent work includes recurring roles on Star Trek: Picard and ABC’s The Rookie. She previously recurred on Charmed, Gotham (as Poison Ivy), Colony, and starred in Frequency, The Tomorrow People, Flash Forward, and Big Shots. Her film credits include Spinning Gold.
Character: The polished young matriarch of a Kennedy‑esque dynasty — elegant, strategic, and unshakeable until a family crisis exposes her sharp edges and buried secrets.
Elysia Roorbach as “Young Penny”
Elysia Roorbach is a graduate of NYU Tisch, with training from Atlantic Acting Company, Stonestreet Studios, and RADA. She starred in the world premiere of Las Aventuras de Juan Planchard and played Honey in South Coast Repertory’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf. She recurs in Season 2 of HBO Max’s Emmy‑winning The Pitt.

Madison Wolfe as “Young Bess”
Madison Wolfe recently appeared in Netflix’s The Hunting Wives and AMC’s Mayfair Witches. She is known for True Detective, The Campaign, The Conjuring 2, and I Kill Giants. Her filmography includes collaborations with David O. Russell (Joy) and Jay Roach (Trumbo).
Character: Sixteen‑year‑old Bess dreams of songwriting and adventure — and of being nothing like her mother. Eager to impress the older boys staying in the guest house, she makes choices she’ll come to regret.
Season Two Logline
In an effort to confront her truth, Cadence returns to Beechwood. As she digs deeper into family secrets, she learns about the Sinclair Sisters’ summer of 1999 — a summer rife with first love, rivalry, and even murder. In flashbacks, Carrie, Penny, and Bess navigate their own teenage summer as they come to terms with their past in the present day.
