Playing For Keeps gets September Launch Date

The highly anticipated new Australian drama Playing For Keeps will premiere later this month it has been announced.

With a fresh, contemporary and glamorous take on the world of Aussie Rules football, Playing For Keeps explores this unique realm from the perspective of the real power players: the women.

Centred around the unlikely friendship between five very different women, Kath (Madeleine West), Paige (Cece Peters), Tahlia (Olympia Valance), Maddy (Annie Maynard) and Jessie (Isabella Giovinazzo) are all drawn together by a unique bond: they are all wives and girlfriends of the players at the Southern Jets Football Club.

From the grandstands and the locker rooms to the red carpets and the bedrooms, what makes the women within the world of football’s elite tick? Infatuation, love, power or relevance?

This bold, brassy and dangerous drama depicts the lives of the sporting world’s rich and famous, proving that when the cream of the crop fly high, they sometimes feel the heat.

Playing For Keeps is a Screentime production for Network Ten. Principal production investment from Screen Australia, with the assistance of Film Victoria.
