One Of Us Is Lying Review

Today, Stan premiers the hotly anticipated adaptation of One Of Us Is Lying.

When we begin the series, we are transported to Bayview High School, which has its own blog website, About That, run by outsider Simon (Mark McKenna), who’s promising to reveal some juicy gossip about four students.

There’s straight-A student Bronwyn (Marianly Tejada; sports jock Cooper (Chibuikem Uche); cheerleader Addy (Annalisa Cochrane), who’s trying to keep her perfect life together; and resident bad boy Nate (Cooper van Grootel). This unlikely bunch of students all find themselves in detention together, and although five students walk into detention, only four walk out alive. It’s not all it seems, and one of them is lying.

Showrunner Darío Madrona (Elite) adapts Karen M. McManus’ bestselling novel with a mostly faithful adaptation. The script goes thick and fast with plot twists in the first three episodes provided for review, drawing you into the world of Bayview High and the all the secrets it conceals.

The cast are all captivating in their roles, and all the core characters are given moments to shine as the three episodes play out.

No word of a lie, One Of Us Is Lying has the potential to be your next drama obsession.
