Tonight RFDS welcomes the New Year.
A busy New Years Eve pushes everyone to breaking point in Broken Hill. Eliza (Emma Hamilton), Pete (Stephen Peacocke), and Ryan (Rick Davies) contend with the deadly risk of electrocution after a hot-air balloon becomes caught in live powerlines. It’s a class of egos as both men have different approaches to the situation.
Elsewhere, Wayne (Rob Collins) is in the city with Naomi (Laila Thaker) for his clinic’s fundraiser. His desire to do everything for everyone is tested when his auntie becomes ill, with Leonie (Justine Clarke) fearing it may be more than just food poisoning.
Meanwhile Chaya (Emma Harvie) finds herself simmering with anger at Matty (Jack Scott) when they are forced into a car together to road a drunk partygoer into Broken Hill over his betrayal with Caleb (Mark Fantasia).
As the show heads towards its finale week, everyone is given the chance to showcase their skills and set-up for a finale not-to-be-missed.
