Neighbours has tapped singer Candice Alley for a surprising role.
Candice shot to fame in 2003 with her self-penned debut single, Falling. That year she was nominated for an ARIA Award in the Breakthrough Artist – Single category. In 2004, Falling received an APRA Award nomination for Most Performed Australian Work.
While in recent years performing has taken a backseat to caring for her six-year-old twins, Jagger and Charlize, Candice is ecstatic to be stepping back into the spotlight.
Candice will play the role of Cecilia Saint, a mysterious woman caught up in a plot to unhinge one of Ramsay Street’s favourite residents, Steph Scully (played by Carla Bonner).
Candice said: “With such a love for acting, I feel so fortunate to be part of such an iconic Australian series and working with such an amazing team of people.”
