When we left Erinsborough on Thursday, Kyle and Roxy’s wedding was in full swing, but a storm was raging outside, the party relocated to the Flamingo Bar. Probably a bad move because a power pole soon crashed down onto the hut as Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou) watched on in horror.
In tonight’s episode, a whole week has passed since the wedding and Terese and Chloe (April Rose Pengilly) are surveying the damage after the storm.
But the real heartbreak is the reveal that one person didn’t survive the storm, and their death will have a lasting effect on one Ramsay Street family in particular.
It’s clear that Terese is feeling some guilt for the accident when she leaves the memorial service early. Will she find a way to move forward or is there more to the story?
Emma J. Steele pens an episode full of surprises and the emotional weight of the death that’s been teased will certainly have a huge impact moving forward.
The time jump also allowed a fresh start of sorts, and the use of flashbacks gives some creative freedom and keeps the audience guessing.
