Tonight, Neighbours starts with a bang, and it’s going to affect everyone we know and love.
All the action starts the moment the episode begins with a gunshot at The Waterhole. Then, backtracking to last night’s cliff-hanger, where Leo (Tim Kano) told Delaney (Ella Newton) he’s still in love with Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou), we learn how everything led to the heart-stopping moments. Paul (Stefan Dennis), in an attempt to keep Delaney on side, offers her a job at any Lassiter’s Hotel in the world, hoping she’ll keep quiet about Paul killing Mannix (Sam Webb). However, a spanner is thrown in the works when Delaney’s father Raymond (Frank Magree) and uncle Ivan (Michael Shanahan) unexpectedly show up in Erinsborough.
When he learns of Delaney’s motives for coming to Erinsborough, Raymond is livid and unpredictable, deciding to take action against those who have hurt his daughter. Ivan is sent on a quest for vengeance – who will be caught in the firing line, and just how will it all play out? Tune in to find out who gets shot and if they’ll survive. Taking place over a few episodes, the siege will have a long-lasting impact on all the residents caught up in it.
The story is fast-paced, action-packed and even utilises the new PG classification to show blood. If this is just the start, 2019 is going to be a spectacular season for Neighbours.
