This week NCIS: Sydney delves into the world of war crimes.
It’s Afghanistan 2020, and the Australian Special Forces team raids a village, only for their interpreter, Rashid Rahmati (Fayssal Bazzi), to betray them by calling in a Taliban missile strike. Now in 2025, Rahmati resurfaces in Sydney as the prime suspect in the murder of Warrant Officer Lachlan Yates (James Biasetto), one of the strike’s two survivors.
Forced to work alongside ADFIS Investigator Sergeant (and Mackay doppelganger) Dayna Jasek (Simone Kessell), the team dig a little deeper into the events of the raid, especially when Rahmati claims there is more to the story. With one remaining survivor, Henry Ascott (Hugo Johnstone-Burt), the answers lead to something much bigger and a lot more dangerous.
With Blue (Mavournee Hazel) back in the fold, things won’t be easy after all the revelations last week.
Written by James Cripss, it’s good to see Johnstone-Burt back on our screens in this guest role and in an episode that continues to take NCIS: Sydney from strength-to-strength.
NCIS: Sydney is now streaming on Paramount+, with new episodes every Tuesday.
