MasterChef Australia Secrets Week kicks off tonight.
The remaining 17 contestants tonight get a huge surprise when they lift their lids on the mystery boxes to reveal tiny rolling pins. All will make sense when the master of dumplings chef Din Tai Fung walks through the MasterChef kitchen doors.
Monday nights’ pressure test sees our bottom three contestants needing to guess the secret ingredient in order to replicate an award-winning dish with one hitch – there is no recipe.
Mouths will drop on Wednesday night during an Italian-themed team challenge as each team of eight are allocated a secret weapon. It’s the most formidable force in any Italian kitchen: A nonna.
The last secret will be revealed during Thursday night’s elimination episode where contestants will be literally kept in the dark. While blindfolded, the first five contestants to incorrectly guess a variety of ingredients will go into round two. The tables are turned in round two as it’s the judges this time who will be blind in their tasting.
