The challenges don’t stop there, as a convoy of food trucks signal tonight’s invention test whereby contestants must create two dishes inspired by a choice of seven different cuisines for hundreds of hungry Brissie locals.

The winner will then cook off against a professional chef using one of five beautiful Queensland ingredients to feature in their dish.

Joined by season eight winner Elena Duggan and proud sunny coast local and MasterChef Australia mentor Matt Sinclair, contestants will have two and a half hours to cook and prep a barbeque feast of four different dishes to serve 150 locals.
