Major League Baseball World Series ESPN Broadcast Guide

The biggest prize in baseball goes on the line as the Houston Astros and Atlanta Braves fight it out in the Major League Baseball World Series, with every game live on ESPN.

Live coverage of game one of the best-of-seven series begins on Wednesday October 27 at 10.30am AEDT on ESPN.

Minute Maid Park in Houston will be the sight for the opening two games of the series, as the Astros head into the World Series as favorites.

Houston saw off the Boston Red Sox in six games to take the American League Championship and head to their third World Series in the last five years.

After winning the World Series in 2017, the Astros last trip to the championship showdown was a heartbreaker, going down in game seven to the Washington Nationals in 2019.

Atlanta booked their first visit to the World Series since 1999, downing the Los Angeles Dodgers in six games to claim the National League Championship.

The Braves were last crowned world champions in 1995, but after a glory run that saw them reach the World Series five times in the 1990’s, were they unfortunately lost four series, they have been made to wait 20 years for a further visit.

Atlanta carry the hopes of many, with the Braves triumph in 1995 remaining the last title won by any major sports team in the city.

Having fallen at the National League Championship hurdle last season, Atlanta made amends this time courtesy of some heroics from Eddie Rosario.

Rosario only joined the Braves in July, but has caught fire at a crucial time.

His performance against the Dodgers was a franchise record and in the process, he became only the fifth player in baseball history to record 14 hits in a post-season series.

With the first two World Series games in Houston, the Astros will hope to make a fast start, before the series heads to Atlanta for Games 3-5. Houston will then host games six and seven, if required.
