t’s the morning of the second Commitment Ceremony and tonight the couples will make the important decision to stay in the Experiment or leave their marriages for good.
While RHI & JEFF are still basking in the glow of a successful Intimacy Week, JAMIE & DAVE are confused by the up and down nature of JACQUI & RYAN’S relationship. Despite JACQUI storming out of the Dinner Party last night, this morning, the couple have made up after RYAN gifted JACQUI flowers.
Across the hall, there has been a massive breakthrough for SIERAH and BILLY who were able to push past the friendzone…after being intimate last night. Despite this, SIERAH seems standoffish, and BILLY wonders when SIERAH will open-up to him about her past. Meanwhile, MORENA feels that TONY didn’t stick up for her at the Dinner Party, when she came to blows with the group. This is the last straw, as MORENA feels TONY has checked out of their relationship.
The first couple up on the couch are MORENA & TONY. MORENA takes no time to detail her grievances towards TONY calling him ‘Houdini’ for his constant disappearing act each weekend. While TONY takes accountability for his part in the relationship breakdown and acknowledges he needs to make more of an effort, MORENA struggles to recognise how her own fight style causes TONY to retreat. MORENA writes leave but softens when TONY requests that they reset their relationship.
For CARINA and PAUL, they are in marital bliss. PAUL thanks Expert ALESSANDRA for Intimacy Week as the couple are both physically and emotionally glued to each other, and both write stay.
Despite initially pushing the reset button, RYAN is called out for his comments during Intimacy Week. JACQUI is not over RYAN placing her third in the Photo Ranking Challenge. Expert ALESSANDRA asks whether RYAN should have lied instead, to which JACQUI disagrees stating, RYAN needed to find a way to place her first. JACQUI worries they are not compatible, but they both admit they like each other, and have a lot in common, deciding to write stay.
JAMIE and DAVE continue to remain strong and are smitten, both writing stay. Lovebirds RHI and JEFF are over the moon and feel that the experiment has made their second chance at a relationship a thousand times stronger. RHI can’t fault JEFF and thanks Intimacy Week for increasing their romantic connection. Both write stay, happy with their progress.
AWHINA voices concerns that ADRIAN isn’t showing up for her, but her voice is swallowed as ADRIAN repeatedly shuts her down on the couch. The Experts take ADRIAN to task for this behaviour. When AWHINA is asked by Expert JOHN whether she wants to be in a relationship with ADRIAN, she answers ‘I think I do’, before admitting fears over ADRIAN not being the right role model for her son. AWHINA feels bad for letting her fear impact the relationship, but ADRIAN shows no remorse for his behaviour. Despite their troubles, they can’t deny their chemistry, choosing to write stay and keep working on their relationship.
BILLY and SIERAH’S disconnect is clear on the couch. BILLY admits he’s confused about where he and SIERAH are at after they had sex last night. SIERAH feels that she’s still not getting enough physical intimacy from BILLY and admits that for her, the sex was a “drunken fumble”. BILLY wants to build a deeper emotional connection, and SIERAH agrees she needs to share more with BILLY about her past, arguing that it’s difficult for her to talk about. However, when pressed by Expert ALESSANDRA, SIERAH admits that her and ADRIAN have shared their past with each other already. BILLY is blindsided, wanting to know why SIERAH opened up to ADRIAN and not her own husband. AWHINA also feels blindsided, as ADRIAN refused to open-up to her, that same week. BILLY is left reeling, his trust for SIERAH now broken leaving him questioning ‘where to’ from here.
