When a Texas state trooper is killed by a Mexican cartel smuggler, Elizabeth arranges an extradition deal before reluctantly going on vacation to celebrate her 25th wedding anniversary in New York City. While in New York, tensions rise between Elizabeth and Henry over their eldest daughter Stevie. When political issues arise around the extradition of the Mexican drug smuggler, she is forced to cut their trip short to negotiate a deal with the Governor of Texas. Elizabeth’s son Jason injures himself while her assistant Blake is watching him.
