LOL: Last One Laughing Australia Review

Get ready to laugh as Amazon unveils its next Australian Original today, LOL: Last One Laughing Australia.

The premise is simple – 10 professional comedians go head-to-head to see who can keep a straight face while simultaneously trying to make their opponents laugh. The last one standing will score $100,000.

Taking part in the series are Australian comedians Dilruk Jayasinha, Frank Woodley, Nazeem Hussain, Anne Edmonds, Ed Kavalee, Becky Lucas, Joel Creasey, Nick Cody, Sam Simmons and Susie Youssef.

When we begin the series, each comedian is ushered into the game zone with props they brought with them, some of which include Fanta, a banjo, and a very memorable jacket that is sure to make the viewers laugh.

There are multiple cameras recording the cast at all times, and Rebel Wilson is watching on from the control room in this 6-hour competition. With Rebel keeping a close eye on everyone, she’s ready to hand out Yellow Cards for a first offence and Red Cards for a second offence, which will see that comedian eliminated. There’s also a Joker Card which forces the whole room to stop and watch you perform.

Nothing is off limits as players use jokes, physical comedy, props, and even nudity, to try and derail each other.

The format leads itself to some truly outrageous moments as this brilliantly cast series plays out. Watching the game play out, Rebel is clearly in her element as host and the contestants will really do anything they can to be the last one laughing.

LOL: Last One Laughing Australia  is like the Hunger Games of comedy, and after screening the first two episodes, this absolutely bonkers experiment is a true delight.

5 Stars.
