Later this month 2012 Masterchef favorite Ben Milbourne is off on a new adventure circumnavigating and exploring the culinary paradise of his home…Tasmania.
Tasmania is Australia’s smallest island state lying 240 kilometres south of the mainland. in the series Ben travels from George Town in the north nestled on the banks of the Tamar River with its a rich maritime past – surrounded by vineyards, orchards, berry and lavender farms to the capital Hobart in the south. During his trip south Ben travels through Launceston, Tasmania’s second major city and a vibrant hub for food and wine, culture and nature, the whole region is packed with country charm, gorgeous old towns, excellent food and wine and beautiful scenic highlights then through to the rural town of Freycinet with its superb Oyster farm.
On route Ben checks out the local cultures, unique animals visits the best restaurants talks to producers and takes in the Tasmanian landscape that will blow your mind.
