Fresh from critical acclaim and outstanding ratings in the US, the new hit comedy Life In Pieces will make its Australian debut next week.
Double Academy Award winner Dianne Wiest and Golden Globe and Emmy Award winner James Brolin lead a remarkable cast, including Colin Hanks, Betsy Brandt, Thomas Sadoski, Zoe Lister-Jones and Australia’s own Holly Barrett.
LIfe In Pieces focuses on the big, happy Short family and their sometimes awkward, often hilarious and ultimately beautiful milestone moments, as told by its various members.
The family’s lives unfold in four short stories each week, as they try to savour the little pieces of time that flash by each day but stay as memories forever. It is these little moments that add up to what life is all about.
The family is led by Joan, the adoring matriarch who would do anything for her kids, and John, the gregarious patriarch who is searching for ways to soften the blow of turning 70.
Eldest child Heather and her husband Tim are dreading their impending empty nest so much they are considering having another baby. Middle child Matt may have just found his true love, his co-worker Colleen. Youngest child Greg and his wife Jen are overwhelmed by the birth of their first child.
Life in Pieces premieres 9pm Tuesday, 26 July on Ten.
