There was another emotion charged elimination on The Bachelor last night.
The Bachelor’s Blake Garvey said his final farewell to flight attendant Lauren, 27, who failed to receive a rose during an emotional rose ceremony tonight. Tears flowed from all the girls as popular Lauren left the mansion for good.
There wasn’t a dry eye in the house when the ladies yelled “I love you” as she walked away. Despite her popularity among the group, Lauren and Blake had failed to connect, something she acknowledged after the ceremony.
Lauren said: “I loved every second I spent with Blake. He is a really, really great guy. But I think you should have that connection pretty instantly, so if he wasn’t feeling it, then that’s ok.”
In contrast, the connection was clearly apparent between Blake and Sam tonight when he took her on a fun and flirty single date that ended in a passionate kiss and a rose.
Blake said to Sam: “I feel that you are very special. You are someone who is very easy to fall in love with. I’m going to try and let you into as much of my life, my family and my world as I can.”
Later at the group date, Blake took time out with Amber, who had not yet been on a date so far. It was certainly worth the wait as he presented her with a rose.
Amber confidently said after her date: “Wake up and smell the roses ladies ‘cause I am here for a while. If you want to get in on it, you’re gonna have to step up your game.”
The Bachelor Australia airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm. On Ten.
