With production starting soon Seven has announced that chef Jock Zonfrillo will host Restaurant Revolution.
Restaurant Revolution will see five teams charged with design and run their own pop-up restaurant.
Series host Jock Zonfrillo knows exactly what the teams are about to go through – he did it just two years ago when he opened his first solo restaurant ventures in Adelaide. Now the award-winning fine dining restaurant Orana and the more informal Street-ADL are firing and he knows all those hours agonising over the menu, décor and staff were worth the sleepless nights.
“Words can’t describe the physical labour and mental pressure our teams will go through over the next few weeks; it’s intense,” says Jock,“There’s never a right time to open a restaurant because you can never be ready enough.
The five pop up restaurants will be located at:
SYDNEY – Centenary Square, Parramatta
MELBOURNE – St Kilda Triangle Site, Lower Esplanade, St Kilda
BRISBANE – Corner of Russell St and Grey St, Southbank
ADELAIDE – Victoria Square
PERTH – 103 Oxford St, Leederville
Restaurants are now in the construction phase and will open next month, when members of the public will be able to dine in and experience the food, service and atmosphere for themselves.
