Nine’s Wide World of Sports will present the exclusive screening of Jarryd Hayne: Aussie Hero, American Dream this Friday night.
The documentary, which reveals the full story, follows on from Karl Stefanovic’s gripping Living the Dream report on 60 Minutes . It takes you further inside the journey of champion NRL player Jarryd Hayne, who took the punt of a lifetime to chase his dream in American Football 12 months ago.
We walk alongside Hayne on his journey from western Sydney to the bright lights of San Francisco. In his own words, he describes the highs and lows: from the triumph of making an NFL starting team to the anguish of being dropped; the loving support of his family; and his unwavering belief in his ability to make it on the biggest stage in world sport.
The “Hayne Plane” tells his own story, raw, direct, emotional and unguarded from behind the scenes on his journey, producing a firsthand account of one of Australian sport’s greatest challenges in a documentary for all Aussies who appreciate the underdog.
