onight on Farmer Wants A Wife: The Harvest Festival produced a night of shocks and tears as Farmer Thomas admitted to a secret meet-up with Claire, triggering an ultimatum from Clarette. Meanwhile, host Natalie Gruzlewski surprised the farmers with a collection of brand-new suitors.
Nat shocked the farmers with the arrival of potential new partners, causing tension and threatening the connections with their original ladies. By the end of the night, each farmer would invite five ladies back to their farm.
Catching up with farmers Tom and Corey over a beer, Thomas dropped a bombshell, sharing that he had secretly met up with Claire in an attempt to find closure but had only told Clarette after the fact.
“Yeah, she [Clarette], she’s just giving me the cold shoulder. I’ve really dug myself a massive hole. I’ve realised how much I really care for her, and it kind of hurts me that I’ve put her in this situation.”
During the festival, the new ladies wasted no time in making an impression on the farmers.
Twenty-seven-year-old registered nurse Chloe made a beeline for Corey, aware she had to make up for lost time. The pair broke away from the group for a private chat to get to know one another better. It wasn’t long before Corey was smitten.
In a piece to camera, Corey admitted he felt a connection with Chloe. “I sort of get lost in her eyes a little bit and her smile…it got pretty deep pretty quickly, I suppose, in the conversations.”
Thomas was visibly impressed by 32-year-old paramedic, Tayla. “She’s very attractive. I got butterflies, and I was pretty nervous talking to her. I’d like to talk to her a bit more and hopefully my nerves calm down a bit!”
Unsure about the strength of her connection with Thomas and feeling the pressure of the night’s new arrivals, Ellen decided to leave the farm.
Pulling Thomas aside, Ellen said, “I’ve actually decided to go home. I think we had a really nice date, but I’m feeling like we’re not emotionally compatible. I feel like there’s not a strong enough emotional connection for me.”
The pair agreed that Thomas would not choose her at the end of the night, paving the way for another lady to travel back to the farm.
Feeling uneasy about her connection with Corey and observing him with the new ladies, Keeley decided she needed to tell the farmer exactly how she felt or risk losing him.
“I struggle to express how I feel sometimes, but like, I’m obviously very serious about you and I feel like I’m starting to fall a little bit for you,” confessed Keeley. Corey reassured Keeley that her feelings were reciprocated.
After meeting the new ladies and feeling a strong connection with 30-year-old police detective Mady, Farmer Tom decided he had to be honest about his feelings for Emma. He said to the camera, “I’m just not feeling it,” before breaking the sad news to Emma.
Knowing he needed to repair his relationship with Clarette, Thomas pulled her aside to apologise and explain that he only met up with Claire as a “friend.”
Clarette challenged Thomas on his apology, annoyed that he would risk everything they had for a meet-up with Claire.
“I want you to trust me again. I’ve made a mistake. And I’ve learned from it. I probably should’ve asked you before to see if you were going to be ok with it,” said Thomas. “I can really see a future with you, Clarette. I don’t think I’ve ever been this happy on the farm.”
An emotional Clarette accepted his apology.
As the night ended, the farmers announced their chosen ladies:
