Welcome to the Aussie jungle (again), international reality TV star, Joey Essex. This is not Joey’s first rodeo, having finished fourth in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! UK in 2013. Joey first shot to fame after starring in the hit show The Only Way is Essex, amassing over three million Twitter followers along the way.
But he’s about to get a dose of reality if he thinks the Aussies will go easy on him. After unceremoniously falling down a chute and into Warren the wombat’s warren, Chris and Julia bring Joey in on the biggest secret mission in the history of secret missions. He too, must convince the campmates that The David is a real celebrity.
Maria and a petrified Emily Seebohm were tasked with rescuing Joey, who was trapped behind a locked gate at the other end of a terrifying, snake ridden tunnel.
Despite a lot of squealing from all parties, Emily successfully frees Joey, who quickly finds an excuse to remove his shirt. But this Olympic legend wasn’t bamboozled by the topless Joey like the rest of Australia, instead she thought “the new guy was a bit of a dick”.
Tomorrow night, another campmate will enter the jungle and The David meets his latest ally, but is it too late?
