In Stereo Depart X Factor

The dream of having a group win The X Factor took a major hit  with In Stereo eliminated last night.

The teenage trio found themselves in the bottom two with Guy’s other remaining act, Jess & Matt.  They faced off against each other in the most dramatic showdown yet.

But Jess & Matt were triumphant after belting out Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud, edging out In Stereo who performed Hey There Delilah by the Plain White T’s. With James Blunt, Chris Isaak and Dannii Minogue voting in the duo’s favour, Guy was saved from choosing between them.

The group – made of Chris Lanzon, Jakob Delgado and Ethan Karpathy – have set teenage hearts aflutter ever since their audition, which has attracted an extraordinary 2.5 million views on Facebook.

“Performing on The X Factor was a dream come true,” Jakob said afterwards.  Ethan continued: “This isn’t the end. We’re going to be working really hard.”  Chris added: “This is an amazing experience; it’s changed our lives.”

They thanked their mentor Guy, who was full of praise for them and their future. “Your fans will be with you for life. This is just the start. I believe in you.”

Only seven acts remain. The stakes have never been higher with the Grand Final fast approaching. Don’t miss The X Factor   Monday and Tuesday 7.30pm on Seven.
