Last night I’m a Celebrity continued to deliver a mixed bag of surprises.
After Sam Dastyari from the jungle, were we heartbroken to hear of a late night bird massacre courtesy of a slithering Boomslang serpent.
Tonight’s spectacular trial, Trubble Bath, looked like it was straight out of a Jane Austin novel. High above the misty mountains, Shane, Natasha, Richard and Justine had to, one-by-one, sit in a bathtub and answer a simple trivia question. The awesome foursome had approximately seven seconds to answer the question before the tub would tip them off the side of the mountain…
Richard required persistent reassurance that he wouldn’t plummet to his death, Natasha proved she is the queen of trial trash talk, but not of Michael Jackson’s music catalogue, and Shane’s high pitched cries are sure to go over a treat back home with his AFL mates. All fears aside, it was eight stars won for camp.
Last week saw an incredibly brave Tahir Bilgiç open up to Luke Jacobz about his father’s passing, and tonight Yvie opened up to Luke about the death of her mother. The hilariously funny Yvie had us in tears in a different way as she recounted the final days she had with her mum before she passed away from lung cancer.
Justin was the leader of the LOL department tonight, with two stories that left us perplexed and intrigued.
First up, in a discussion with Shane about posing nude, he said he was surprised to discover his meat and two veg could float in water… especially because it so heavy.
And lastly, in a chat with Yvie and Angie Kent about his public popularity, the model struggled to find the correct word for a person who teaches you things. In an attempt to add “Philosophists” and “Philosophocus” to the English dictionary, it became clear to the whole camp that he meant philosophers.
Later we crossed live to our jungle family as Hollywood heavyweight Katherine Kelly Lang made a spectacular entrance from a mystery box in camp.
