Today’s Neighbours welcomes back one of its most loved residents.
It’s the night before the official opening of Eirini Rising, and Harold (Ian Smith) returns to Erinsborough. Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou) and Toadie (Ryan Moloney) host a welcome dinner and in attendance are Susan (Jackie Woodburn), Karl (Alan Fletcher), Jane (Annie Jones) and Nell (Ayisha Salem-Towner).
It’s a joyous occasion as Harold moves in on opening day, while Hilary (Anne Scott-Pendlebury) celebrates moving in soon having bought herself an apartment earlier this week. However, Harold’s mood is quite sombre as he settles into his new home- what has the joyous Harold down?
At the official launch things are going smoothly, but with a tampered wine bottle being amongst the crowd, will this Ramsay Street event be drama free?
In the wise hands of Jason Herbison, Neighbours begins a new chapter with an old favourite and it’s a script that delivers some wonderful surprises. Having two iconic legends returning is a brilliant way to throw back to the long history of the show, which opens the door to a plethora of great story opportunities.
