Harold Lends a Helping Hand

Harold Lends a Helping Hand

He’s everyone’s favourite neighbour, and now that he’s back on Ramsay Street, Harold is immediately in the thick of it.

Following last night’s exciting announcement that Toadie (Ryan Moloney) and Melanie (Lucinda Cowden) are engaged, Zara (Freya Van Dyke) is heartbroken for her mother Amy (Jacinta Stapleton). Venting about the situation to her new friend Harold (Ian Smith), she finds that he too is not excited about this development either.

Tonight, the pair come to an understanding, and although Harold refuses to help Zara break up Toadie and Melanie, he does promise to look into her concerns. Is there a reason for these concerns, and could the happy couple be headed for splitsville before they walk down the aisle?

It’s not just Zara who Harold is bonding with. Elsewhere, Mackenzie (Georgie Stone) is still struggling with her grief and inability to eat. Hoping to help, Harold opens up about his previous experiences with grief and losing the ones you love. Will this lead to Mackenzie finally being able to move forward?

Meanwhile, we also find Nicolette (Charlotte Chimes) and Byron (Joe Klocek) growing more concerned that Clive (Geoff Paine) is cheating on Jane (Annie Jones). But before they can come clean to their mother, they’re going to need to get some solid proof to confirm their suspicions. Is Clive cheating, or is this just a big misunderstanding?

Daniel Pappas and Christabel Taylor-Brown manage to strike the delicate balance of using the past to influence the present, with very strong performances from Ian and Georgie in particular.

Neighbours airs 6:30pm Monday-Thursday on 10Peach.
