Tonight, on Farmer Wants A Wife, heartbreak and heartfelt declarations unfolded as farmers Zac and Jason found their forever loves.
Adelaide apple orchardist Zac faced one of the toughest decisions of the season, torn between Maya and Mieke – two very different but equally strong connections.
After weeks of building meaningful relationships with both women, Zac admitted the decision had weighed heavily on him.
But it was Melbourne medical receptionist Maya who captured his heart.
“When you expressed your feelings about potentially leaving and going home, it was in that moment that I truly realised how close I was to losing you,” confessed Zac. “You were someone that I absolutely wanted to fight for.
“You’re someone I can wholeheartedly see a future with. I am absolutely falling for you.”
Overjoyed, Maya accepted Zac’s declaration and admitted her feelings were just as strong.
“I am the lucky lady at the end,” Maya said. “I feel over the moon. I’m so happy. I’m definitely falling in love with him. He is the guy I’ve been looking for.”
To top off the romantic moment, Zac surprised Maya with one final question.
“Will you be my date to my sister’s wedding?”
With a smile, Maya immediately accepted.
While Zac had found the woman he wanted by his side, it also meant saying goodbye to Mieke, with whom he had shared a strong connection.
Despite acknowledging the chemistry he shared with Mieke, Zac gently told her he didn’t see a future with her.
Mieke accepted Zac’s decision, saying, “I’m definitely a little bit heartbroken. I was falling for him, but I won’t let it stop me. I will find my person one day. It just wasn’t today.”
For Queensland dairy farmer Jason, the decision was much clearer. Having developed a deep connection with Poppy throughout the experience, he knew she was the person he wanted beside him on the farm.
“You’ve made me a better person. You’ve made me a better man,” Jason said. “Poppy, I am falling for you. Will you come back to the farm with me?”
An emotional Poppy didn’t hesitate with her answer.
“Of course I will,” she replied.
Jason later reflected on finding exactly what he’d been searching for.
“I think I have maybe found a wife,” he said. “There’s a lot of potential there.”
Before declaring his feelings for Poppy, Jason farewelled Logan, thanking her for her vulnerability throughout the experience.
“You deserve love. You’ll make a fantastic partner, but unfortunately, my heart is with someone else. I’m sorry,” Jason said.
Despite her heartbreak, Logan wished Jason nothing but happiness.
“I’m glad I met him and got to know him,” she said. “I hope he’s happy and gets what he wants.”
