Before he declared his love, Alex made the difficult decision to say farewell to Rachel, telling her with complete honesty, “I don’t think it’s a good idea that we go on a solo date today. My connection with Ed is just so great. I don’t think I see a future with you.”
Although disappointed, Rachel accepted his decision with grace, telling Alex, “I really appreciate you being 100% honest. That’s literally all I can ask for.” As she left the farm, Rachel wished the happy couple well, adding, “I’m happy for you and Ed. I think she’s a gem.”
