East New York gets October Premiere on Foxtel

From Emmy® winner William Finkelstein (The Good Fight, NYPD Blue, Civil Wars) and Mike Flynn (Power Book III: Raising Kanan, Queen Sugar) the brand new cop-drama EAST NEW YORK will premiere in October on Foxtel.

Amanda Warren (The Leftovers, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri) stars as Deputy Inspector Regina Haywood, the newly promoted boss of the 74th Precinct in EAST NEW YORK – a working-class neighbourhood on the edge of Brooklyn that is in the midst of social upheaval and the early seeds of gentrification. With family ties to the area, Haywood is determined to deploy creative methods to protect her beloved community with the help of her officers and detectives.

Her team includes her mentor, shrewd veteran two-star Chief John Suarez (Emmy® Award winner Jimmy Smits); respected training officer and neighbourhood expert Marvin Sandeford (Ruben Santiago-Hudson); old-school detective Tommy Killian (Kevin Rankin); Haywood’s efficient right hand Captain Stan Yenko (Richard Kind); detective Crystal Morales (Elizabeth Rodriguez); trainee Andre Bentley (Lavel Schley); and ambitious patrol officer Brandy Quinlan (Olivia Luccardi), the sole volunteer to live in a local housing project as part of Haywood’s plan to bridge the gap between police and community. Regina Haywood has a vision – she and the squad of the 74th Precinct will not only serve their community, they will also become part of it.

EAST NEW YORK is written and executive produced by Warner Bros, William Finkelstein, and Mike Flynn. Skyemac Productions’ Mike Robin, the executive producer on series including All Rise and Major Crimes, is also executive producing alongside Self Made: Inspired By The Life of Madam C.J Walker executive producers Mark Holder and Christine Holder of Wonder Street.

EAST NEW YORK premieres Monday, October 3 from 4.00pm AEST On Demand on FOXTEL and FOX ONE on Wednesday, October 5 at 9.00pm
