Dyson Heppell’s Time In The Jungle Comes To An End.

The saddest song the jungle has heard rang out tonight as Dyson Heppell and Gary Sweet went head-to-head in an elimination battle.

Faced with the Organ of Doom, the duo had to take it in turns to repeat a sequence of notes that would increase with every round. The first to play an incorrect note three times would be leaving the jungle.

In an emotional end to his time in camp, Dyson admitted that although he was very flat about leaving, it was bittersweet to be knocked out by his good mate Gaz.

Reflecting on his jungle journey with hosts Robert Irwin and Julia Morris after his elimination, Dyson said, “This honestly far exceeded everything I expected coming in. I’ve had an absolute belter of a time, met some incredible people, amazing experiences in the jungle here. It’s a beautiful place, I couldn’t have asked for anything more.”

A beloved member of the camp, Dyson’s natural knack for leadership and his ability to inspire and cheer on his fellow celebs was a huge factor to the positive spirit in camp. That, and his unbelievable iron stomach when it came to eating challenges.

Dyson often opened up about his time in footy, the supplement scandal that rocked his career, and his dreams of stepping into a coaching role.

Looking back on his time in camp and the relationships he built Dyson said, “I was my authentic self, I had unbelievable conversations and with campmates who allowed me to feel a real sense of belonging and safety amongst them so I could tell them things I wouldn’t really tell anyone else.”

Dyson’s time in the jungle was in support of the Very Special Kids foundation. “They provide care for kids that are going through life-threatening illnesses, and they do so much to look after these guys,” he explained.
