It was the annual Farmer Wants A Wife Country Ball tonight but despite the celebrations, reality came calling for some ladies.
Dark clouds loomed over Jason’s farm as another lady walked away. Following the previous night’s tense dinner – where Jason chose not to send anyone home – Jessica decided to end her journey. “Jason and I had a really nice date, but I am quite disappointed. Jason did choose not to send anyone home, so, I’m actually not going to stay,” she said.
After learning Eddy’s faith, Alex began to question their future together: “I am smitten with Eddy. But I was a little bit rattled last night. After the dinner I realised that there may be religious differences between Ed and I.” But any doubts eased soon after the pair sat down for a chat.
Heading into the Country Ball, Miranda from Zac’s farm had three wishes: “I wish for a kiss from Zac tonight. I wish for the next date, and I wish for Jessica to go home. Wonder which one will come true.”
Farmers and their ladies arrived for a night full of country music and dancing at the Country Ball, with Australian singer-songwriter Amy Sheppard performing live.
As they took to the dancefloor, Jessica struggled watching Farmer Zac with Miranda. “Seeing Zac and Miranda dance together, obviously that’s hard to watch. I’ve been struggling with being insecure and lack confidence.”
Jessica soon told Zac she would be leaving the farm, making one of Miranda’s wishes come true.
Not long after, Miranda set her target on Maya, who pulled Zac aside for a chat. “This was not the right moment. And it’s honestly giving desperate.”
With her eyes on the next solo date, Miranda made her move. “Getting that one-on-one time right now is really important. So, I’m going to do what it takes to get that date.”
She pulled Zac aside and sealed it with a kiss – and her final wish came true when he invited her on the next solo date.
Meanwhile, Jason’s woes continued. Front-runner Beth made the difficult decision to leave the farm, as her daughter was struggling with her absence. “I can see a lot of potential in Farmer Jason and that’s not something you come across very often. It’s a bit heartbreaking to say goodbye. I need to go home and be with my daughter who needs me. I have to leave behind the chance of finding love.”
By the end of the Country Ball, each farmer had chosen one lady for the next solo date.
The ladies chosen were:
Farmer Alex: Suzannah
Farmer Dylan: Scarlett
Farmer Jarrad: Yvonne
Farmer Jason: Poppy
Farmer Zac: Miranda
