There are more episodes of Downton Abbey on the way.
ITV has picked up the period drama for a sixth season which will start production early next year.
“We have had an amazing reaction to the story lines, acting and production values of Downton Abbeythis year and the whole team is thrilled to be moving ahead with a new season of the show,” said executive producer Gareth Neame. This will provide audiences with a fresh opportunity to see what will befall our much loved characters.”
The shows 5th season ends in the UK next week and will air here on Seven next year
