DMV set for November on Binge

BINGE today released the official trailer for DMV, a sharp and heartwarming new workplace comedy premiering in November.

Set in the East Hollywood Department of Motor Vehicles—the place everyone dreads going most—DMV follows a ragtag crew of underpaid, overstressed public servants doing their best to survive impossible customers, office politics, and each other.

The series stars Harriet Dyer, best known to Australian audiences for her acclaimed performance in Colin from Accounts, as Colette, a well-meaning driving examiner with a big heart and bad boundaries and a secret crush on her co-worker Noa (played by NCIS: Hawai’i’s Alex Tarrant).

Rounding out the ensemble cast are Tim Meadows (Mean Girls, The Goldbergs)  as Gregg, the misanthropic former English teacher, Tony Cavalero (The Righteous Gemstones) as Vic, former bouncer who loves putting difficult drivers in their place, Molly Kearney (Saturday Night Live) as Barb, the newly promoted manager who tries hard but often misses the mark, and Gigi Zumbado (Bridge and Tunnel) as Ceci, the scrappy photographer who isn’t afraid to speak her mind.

In the premiere, Barb rallies the team to save their struggling branch from government shutdown, while Colette (Dyer) navigates chaos on the job and pines for her coworker Noa (Tarrant) while enduring teasing from colleagues Gregg (Meadows), Vic (Cavalero) and Ceci (Zumbado).

DMV was created and written by Dana Klein (Friends, Partners) and executive produced by Klein, Matt Kuhn, Aaron Kaplan, Wendi Trilling and Robyn Meisinger. Trent O’Donnell (Ghosts, Colin from Accounts) executive produced and directed the pilot from a script written by Klein. The series  is produced by CBS Studios and is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.

November 11 in Australia, with the first four episodes dropping at once, followed by weekly episode releases on Binge.
