Last night on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, the campmates went back to school in a trial of hard shocks, Lisa Oldfield shared her struggle with alcohol, former campmate Steve Price brought Danny Green to tears in his Jungle Radio segment, and David Oldfield became the third celebrity to be publicly voted out of the jungle.
Dressed as students, Team Simone Holtznagel and Team Peter Rowsthorn went head-to-head in a hilarious trial of school-related challenges. First was Jackie Gillies versus Paul Burrell, who were quizzed on their knowledge of Shakespeare while their heads were stuck in a box of more than 100 snakes. Looking visibly uncomfortable, it was Paul who won the challenge.
Next were Josh Gibson and Peter, who had to eat a tuckshop order consisting of chicken innards, super worm beetle, sticky tofu, salted duck egg yolk and impala brains sandwich, with a whole emperor scorpion and a bottle of goat’s blood on the side. Josh successfully finished his meal first, earning a star for his team.
Back in camp, Lisa opened up to Jackie about her struggle with alcohol and anxiety. She explained how she is now sober for life after realising she had an unhealthy relationship with alcohol..
The celebrities were surprised with a new visitor tonight when I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! alumni Steve Price returned to camp. After inventing Jungle Radio as a contestant on the show last year, Steve was back to interview the new batch of celebrities.
First on the couch was Danny, who was asked about his last controversial boxing match against arch-enemy Anthony Mundine. In the first 50 seconds of the match, Anthony hit Danny from behind while Danny’s arms were held back by the referee, leading Danny to believe it was a coward punch.
Steve then asked Danny about his close relationship with his father, who Danny described as his best mate. This brought Danny to tears and he told Steve how much he missed and loved his dad.
Later in the show, hosts Dr. Chris Brown and Julia Morris announced that controversial former politician David Oldfield was the third celebrity to be voted out of the jungle.
David and wife Lisa Oldfield arrived in camp as intruders last week. As the first married couple to enter the African jungle, they ruffled feathers with their opinionated views and gave the other celebrities a glimpse into their irregular relationship.
