Tonight RFDS gets into the festive spirit as Christmas comes to Broken Hill.
It’s Christmas Eve in Broken Hill, but medical dramas don’t stop for the holidays. Pete (Stephen Peacocke) and Eliza (Emma Hamilton) are heading out to a remote station to attend to David (Paul Reichstein), a patient experiencing severe chest pains. But when it’s discovered that this is a regular occurrence, Eliza begins to doubt the severity and reality of his symptoms. Things soon start to unravel and the trio is forced to admit that Eliza may have made a mistake.
And with Pete weighing up his choices to let Eliza know his feelings, she might not be the only one making mistakes this Christmas.
Elsewhere Wayne (Rob Collins), Mira (Ash Ricardo) and Matty (Jack Scott) are tasked together on an unconventional retrieval to a remote island and find themselves butting heads over Matty’s fling with Caleb (Mark Fantastia). But personal drama needs to be put aside as they face a difficult rescue of a tourist involved in a jet-ski accident.
And back in Broken Hill, Chaya (Emma Harvie) and Leonie (Justine Clarke) are running a Christmas fundraiser for those affected by the Kingsley bush crash, but a few too many secrets come out, putting a damper on the holiday spirit. The back-half of this season continues going from strength-to-strength, and all actors continue to be given great stuff to work with
