It was the unexpected return of a Neighbours favourite that closed out the opening episode of anniversary week.
Paul (Stefan Dennis) and Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou) pulled up in Ramsay Street, just in rime to see Chelsea (Viva Bianca) emerge from Remi’s (Naomi Rukavina) car, newborn baby in arms.
When we pick up tonight, Paul and Terese grapple with the return of Chelsea and her surprise bundle of joy. A stunned Paul can’t stop staring at the baby as Remi explains how she tracked down her sister-in-law.
Naturally, Paul wants to know if he’s the father. But Chelsea admits that she doesn’t know if Paul or Jeffrey (Tim Potter), who helped cover up Chelsea’s villainous deeds that resulted in Krista (Marjella Davis) losing her baby, is her baby daddy. Trying to stay calm, Paul demands a paternity test, which Chelsea agrees to. Is Paul about to add another child to his family tree?
Elsewhere, JJ (Riley Bryant) tracks down the mysterious Agnes and offers her a tour of Erini Rising. When the pair reach the recreation room, the Kennedy’s and Harold (Ian Smith) are stunned to see her, thrown by her likeness to Madge (Anne Charleston). Is this the last we will see of this doppelgänger or is there more to her story?
Jason Herbison oversees the return of Chelsea and gives fans a hit of nostalgia with Anne Charleston returning to the show, 24 years since she last appeared alongside Ian Smith as someone other than a ghost.
