In what can be considered as the best news ever it has been revealed that Carla Bonner will return to Ramsay Street.
Carla reprises her role as one of Ramsay Street’s favourite characters, Steph Scully and this time she is sticking around,
Carla first joined Neighbours in 1999 and in the 11 years in which she played Steph Scully, viewers were taken on a wild ride of romances, break-ups, weddings, babies, accidents, deceit and kidnappings. Things came to a head for Steph when drunk and driving dangerously on her motorbike, she hit and killed Ringo Brown. She was charged and jailed for manslaughter.
Two-and-a-half years later, Steph was released from jail on parole and returned to Erinsborough. After suffering a psychotic break, she kidnapped Lucas and Vanessa’s son. Charged with kidnapping, Steph was forced to leave Ramsay Street again.
Neighbours Series Producer, Jason Herbison said: “Steph left Erinsborough under dramatic circumstances after she was arrested for stealing Lucas and Vanessa’s baby. Her return to Ramsay Street will be explosive and her presence will divide the residents. “It is wonderful having Carla back on set permanently, she is the consummate professional,” he said.
Carla said: “I feel like I’ve come home. I feel like a girl who flew the nest to see and explore the world, and I’ve returned an enriched woman.”
Carla’s return episodes will air on Eleven from early October.
