Tonight, Neighbours’ newest arrival is sure to make quite an impression.
When we left the cul-de-sac on Thursday, Sergeant Andrew Rodwell (Lloyd Will) had just informed David (Takaya Honda) that he’s under investigation for breach of bail, after being identified as a flight risk when he missed check-in due to being stuck on the boat.
While this is being investigated, Jane (Annie Jones) and Nicolette (Charlotte Chimes) return home, only for Jane to look out the kitchen window and find someone swimming in their pool. When they go out to investigate, they discover it’s Jane’s golden child, Byron Stone (Joe Klosck).
Jane is, of course, elated to have her son in town, especially when he reveals he’s staying permanently. But there’s more to Byron than meets the eye, and as the episode plays out, it’s clear that he’s hiding something.
Joe brings out a different side to Nicolette and has the family banter down pat. He’s instantly watchable and intriguing as the charismatic Byron makes a splash.
As the show winds down, Renee Zarwald and Lisa Maroun get the chance to bring Byron in as a breath of fresh air before the curtain falls.
Neighbours airs double episodes 6:30pm Monday-Thursday on 10Peach.
