Brainbuzz, Nine’s hugely popular children’s science show, is returning for a second season that will be even more challenging, exciting and hands-on, this Monday.
With a remix of the format, each episode will see two young challengers become part of the Brainbuzz team as active participants when they come up with a seemingly impossible challenge and join our hosts on a whirlwind investigation through science to solve it.
Brainbuzz will also introduce new team member Iris – Brainbuzz HQ’s very own search engine, played by Brisbane actor Briana Goodchild – which will amp up the level of difficulty to a new level.
“I’m excited that Iris is bringing a whole new element to Brainbuzz. She’ll be the go-to for all the hints and clues to guide the team on a journey of discovery,” Briana said.
Nine Queensland’s Production and Programming Manager, Geoff Cooper, said: “It’s always good to commission a second season of a program, but this is even more special as Brainbuzz is the program that brought kids TV production back to Nine Queensland’s legendary Mt Coot-tha studios.”
Returning to Brainbuzz are host Kellyn Morris, resident scientist Clare Van Dorssen and fan favourite and general buffoon Einstein, played by Brisbane actor Michael Balk.
With each story, sketch and game revealing fascinating scientific facts and providing clues as to how to conquer each challenge, every episode becomes a race to make the impossible possible.
Will Kellyn and Clare pass the daily challenge – or fail?
Tune in to Brainbuzz on 9Go! and 9Now weekdays from 8.00am to find out.
