Bones – January 12

Tonight’s episode of Bones is a very special one.

The crime solving drama hits a very impressive 200 episodes.  As a way to mark the occasion the cast and crew deliver an episode that pays homage to legendary filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock.

To avoid the usual formula of the procedural of solving cases, the episode sees Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) meet for the first time – but with a twist.

Brennan is an LAPD detective who’s battling sexism on the force, and Booth is a notorious jewel thief who is far more than he seems to be. When Booth is framed for the murder of a rich socialite, he and Brennan team up to clear his name and find the true identity of the murderer.

While it may seem a little farfetched as a plot, the episode is the best episode of the series to date and the creative team behind the show deserve every bit of praise for getting everything from the period right.
